The “WAIT”

I had this LSS or Last Song Syndrome for over a week now then, thank God it stopped. The Song was “The Man who can’t be Moved ” by The Script, especially the line : How can I move on, if I’m still in love with you.

I was singing it almost every day or every hour and I’m singing it even I’m not conscious about it. It’s like it’s automatic. Whew. But to be honest, I like the song, very soothing, It relaxes you.

The man still waits for the love of his life. Without having anything in return. He still waits. He will not move because his hopes are high that he could even stay there and be still till she comes back. Love.

Oh Gosh. What an inspiring song.

The tune is easy to sing, and whistle I guess (I don’t know how to whistle so I just guessed it LoL)

I just remembered the movie “Hachiko”, a very faithful dog. Carter, his master, took care of Hachi when he found him at the train station. Everyday they go to the train station together then Hachi goes to the station alone to wait for his master.

I was struck by the scene where Hachi always waits for his master in front of the train station so they could go home together. But one day, Carter died because of a heart attack. Hachi didn’t know about about it so he still waits for his master’s return. There comes Winter, Spring, Summer and even Autumn, his loyalty haven’t worn off. His master’s friends gives him food everyday so he could live for all those years of waiting. He stayed on the other side of the train tracks and when he hears the horn of the train, he never hesitates to go to the station, where they usually meet. Everyone knows Hachi. People greet him everyday. For 9 years, he didn’t give up, until the end.

Hachiko died waiting for his master to come and see him again. And so he did.

I saw sadness in his eyes, while he stayed in front of the station. I can feel his sorrow. The pain of it, it crushes me. Although I don’t know what it feels to wait for a long time, but it taught me what loyalty is all about.

And what struck me the most is the fact that Hachiko is a dog. People say that they are better than animals, but why is it hard to find people whose as faithful as Hachiko; without asking anything in return.

This is a true story. A devoted dog, not knowing what lies ahead, but still he waits.
